RESOURCES - RESEARCH ETHICS TRAINING

Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)

Research ethics education and training is required for all members of the teams conducting research at most centers in the United States and many abroad. CITI is a human subjects research educational program that consists of a Basic Course of 12 modules for Biomedical investigators, 11 modules specifically prepared for Investigators conducting Social / Behavioral research and several General Interest modules. Each participating institution has the flexibility to set specific curriculum requirements for specific subgroups of their research community. Approximately 1130 institutions and organizations utilize CITI for educating their research faculty and staff world wide. All JAL Foundation participants engaging in research at Emory University need to complete the Emory University designated CITI training modules and maintain a current CITI training certificate of completion.
